Our new Galvanised Fold Over Pegs are available in 200mm x 75mm x 2mm, 300mm x 75mm x 2mm, and 580mm x 75mm x 2mm (length x width x gauge)

We would recommend using the 200mm pegs for our 100mm edging, the 300mm for our 150mm edging, and the 580mm for our 290mm edging.

The great thing about these new pegs, is that they eliminate the need for welding/bolting that our original pegs require, meaning you can have beautiful borders in minutes! They can also join together two strips, also eliminating the need for welding/bolting or joining plates. Simply slot the peg onto your edging strip and fix it into the ground. These pegs will rust alongside the edging, giving a uniform look throughout. It couldn’t be easier!

  • The Corten steel water bowls come in a thickness of 2mm , except the bowls sized 1500mm and above, which are made with 4mm thick steel.
  • Product takes 6-9 months to fully weather from the natural steel colour to orange-brown.
  • Warning: During the weathering period, run-off can stain adjacent material. Please bear this in mind when positioning your water bowl.
  • We suggest using a neutralising water supplement if your water does not have a neutral PH level. This is to make sure the weathering process is not affected and to stop residue from appearing. We suggest checking the PH Levels of your water often, to make sure the look of the bowl and weathering process are both unaffected.
  • It is not recommended to put fish or live animals in the bowl, as the steel reacts with the water and turns it slightly acidic over time.
  • Please Note: Does not come with a stand, however there is an attached ‘foot’, which is a ring of steel welded to the underside of the bowl
 

Corten Steel weathering – how it works:

  1. Please Note: Corten products can arrive at any stage of weathering. We cannot guarantee what level they will be or even if multiple items ordered at the same time will all be at the same level.
  2. As your Corten Steel bowl begin to weather, the oily residue will break down.
  3. Your bowl will begin to change gradually to uniform orange-brown. Please be aware that ‘run-off’ may stain stone or concrete surfaces and bear this in mind when deciding where to place your stairs.

Important:
  • The products are delivered un-rusted
  • The products must be unpacked immediately after delivery so any moisture between the packaging and the product is not sealed. This can cause irregular rust and stains
  • The accessories such as smoke flues and rain caps are easy to assemble by sliding them together
  • With the accessories it is important to pay attention to the diameter of the smoke flues; type Enok and Stig XL have a diameter of 200mm – all other types have a diameter of 154mm
Heating advice:
  • Start with firelighters with small pieces of dry wood placed on top
  • Only use lamp oil with article DNS (Foc); no bioethanol or such
  • Use small pieces of dry wood to slowly heat the fireplace and smoke flue. Once the fire is burning clearly, you can slowly increase the fire (use max. 1,5kg dry wood per time)
Maintenance:
  • Clean the grill immediately after use and store in a dry environment. If the grill is kept in the fireplace for a few days, it will have the chance to rust. Our grills are tested and SGS certified
  • Remove the ash after use and clean the flue pipe once a year
  • At the coated fireplaces rust may occur on the welded seams. You can touch this up with the supplied spray with heat-resistant lacquer

If you are also using Corten corners, we would recommend 2 pegs per corner.
